Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  I did not realize how long it has been since I last posted.  I had a lovely trip to San Francisco to visit my sister, Mary Ann.  And then I have been busy making cards, treat boxes, cookes, breads, cakes, and other goodies for "the most wonderful time of the year".  I hope that each one of you are blessed with the love of family and friends, and peace in your hearts toward all mankind.  May God bless you abundantly in the coming year.

Flakey Friends Stamp Set

These note cards would be great for sending a traditional "thank you" card to friends and family who have been thoughtful at Christmas and throughout the year.  It is especially appreciated by those that take the trouble to send gifts "across the miles" so that they know the gifts have been received.
The cards are also available at the Christmas Boutique on November 24th.

Dottie for You Cards and Journal

The cards and journal were all made using CTMH Dotty for You Paper Packet.  These and other hand made items will be offered for sale at out local Christmas Boutique on November 24, 2012.  Please call me or email me for more details.

Pemberly Paper Packet Happy Birthday Card

I used the die-cut cards (3 1/2" x 8"), Pemberly Paper packet, and Casual Expressions Occasions acylic stamp set for this card.  For the flap, I first adhere the paper and then cut around the shape.  I also used the branch from the Flirty Scrapbooking Workshop Season and Nature acrylic stamp set.  This truly is a great hobby for me.  It relaxes me and I am able to save money making the cards instead of buying them.  And I almost always have a card handy for any occasion.

Pear and Partridge Paper Pack

I was at Christian Business Partners meeting the other day and someone reminded us that we have less than 3 months until Christmas.  This is the time of the year that I usually make several layouts.  There are just too many great photo opportunities when all the festivites begin.  And, of course, each of the granddaughters has her own photo album as well as the one for Mom and Dad.  If you are already behind on your scrap booking, you might want to get a jump on things.  Studio J Online Design Software has 6 perfect Express Collections to help you catch up on those photos that seem to be stuck on the computer.  Check out page 13 of our Idea Book for more information.

Sweet Symphony layout from Imagine "How To" book using Dakota Paper Packet

This is such a versatile layout.  On the left page, the suggested photos would be one 6" X 4" photo and three 3" X 3" photos.  On the right page, the suggested photos would be two 4" X 6" photos and one 3" X 3" photo.  If you are interested in a class, call or email me.  (See above for number and email address.)  Kits are available for $10 plus shipping and handling.  Why not purchase your own Workshop on the Go (see page 35 of Idea Book) and get everything you need to make two to three layouts plus enough left over for several cards.  If you are local to the Yucaipa, CA area and would like a Close To My Heart Idea Book, let me know.

Monogram cards using retired paper and Perfect Fit Frames

My sister loves any shade of purple so these are for her.  I think I will use the same design and the same retired paper, but use colonial white card stock instead of white daisy card stock for the next set of cards.

Monogram note cards. with Perfect Fit Frames and Pemberly Paper

I have been experimenting with my great monogram stamps.  The cards are all 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 but I scanned two together.  I am trying a variety of things to see what I like best.  Let me know your preference.

Wall Hanging Trio with Flirty Paper Pack

I love the cheeriness of this wall hanging.  The flowers are made from hearts that have been folded in half.  Then the hearts are arranged in a circle with the points forming the center of the flower.  It is much easier than I though it would be.  If you already own some frames, you can have an inexpensive wall hanging for around $5.

CTMH Bracket Frame

This is my beautiful granddaughter, Christy, with the Close To My Heart bracket frame.  The frame sports La Belle Vie paper with Sparkle Flourishes and roses made from card stock using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  Christy and the frame are even prettier in person.

Pear and Partridge Gift Card Holder

This is a gift card holder.  The card was cut using the Artiste Cartridge and left over paper from the Pear and Partridge Cardmaking Kit.  You can probably make at least five card holders using the remaining paper from the kit.  (See page 66 in the Idea Book)  Get started early making your Christmas cards.

Stella paper packet

This is my beautiful daughter, Teresa.  I am so proud of the woman she has become.  She is a great daughter, a wonderful mom, and a good wife.  Teresa is a kind and considerate person who tries to be an encouraging and uplifting friend.  She is also lots of fun...

Do you like digital scrapbooking?  I have to admit that the above pages are the first ones I have done digitally.  Studio J has a great way to help you catch up your scrapbooking projects.  Get all of those pictures you have stored on the computer or in a box into a scrapbook that you can share for generations.  You can even add more dimension by embellishing the pages with buttons, ribbons, or bling when you receive you pages in the mail.  It is just $6.95 for a 2 page layout.

Stella Paper Packet with Magic layout "On With the Show"

This is one of my favorite layouts.  I love the Stella (which is still available in the Fall/Winter Idea Book)  And the pattern from the Magic how to book is very versatile.  All I need to do is add the pictures.

Card using Casual Expressions Occasions and Card Word Puzzle Stamp Sets

The colors do not seem quite right from this scan.  The colors are Sweet Leaf and Smoothie mainly.  I love these two stamp sets because the are so versatile.  Let me know what you think about the artwork on this blog.  Also, in September, I will be having a raffle drawing for my followers.  So sign up to be a follower if you have not already done so and you might win a free acrylic stamp set.  The winner will be posted on September 30th.

Cricut Artiste Cartridge Mailbox

The papers I have been using are retired.  They still make adorable 3-D objects.  I cannot tell you how easy the mailbox is to make.  Cut the shape using your Cricut Artiste cartridge.  Decorate the outside as desired with background and texture paper.  Glue on two sides.  Add the flag (also cut on Cricut) with a brad.  Add any other 3-D objects or designs and you are done in about 15 to 20 minutes.  Some folks will be able to complete a little faster and some a little slower, but it is all fun.
